750 ml Wine Spectator 93 pts: Dense, large-scale wine, with thick layers of blackberry, boysenberry, mocha and espresso flavors supported by lush, powerful tannins. Big, smoky, tarry finish. The oak is dominant now, but the stuffing is certainly here. One for the cellar. Syrah. Best from 2007 through 2011. 1,200 cases made. (11/30/05)

750 ml Wine Spectator 94 pts: An alluring nose of Kenya AA coffee and bittersweet cocoa, with polished, racy notes of black currant, fig and loam on the palate. The long, fine-grained finish has a nice minerally spine. Not as dense as the 2003, but with better integration. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2012. 4,000 cases made. (5/15/07)
